so my fuel pump took a dump on me this week, and I'm putting a cobra pump in what kind of performance gains will I get

No real performance gains on a stock application. All the new pump will be doing is supply more fuel at higher pressures.
You may see some "gains", but those will be from the new pump being able to deliver the fuel the engine is asking for, unlike the old pump when it was going out.
