I know that this is discussed a lot, but my issue seems to be a little different than most. It just started today, on my 2004. Once the engine is warm, there is nothing but hot (very hot) air from the climate control. It does not matter what it is set for, and it is equally hot on both sides. It seems to be a hard failure. (Since it first failed, it has stayed that way.) I did a self test, and it came up with codes 1265 and 2798. The factory debug process for 1265 is to check the operation of the cold air bypass door. As far as I can tell, there is no cold air bypass door. The wires that would go to it are not even present at the climate control connector. The other code was for a short in the driver's side of the DCCV. However, in testing with a meter, I couldn't find any short. Also, the AC compressor seems to be working.
I will have to take it to the dealer in a day or two, when I can. Meanwhile, has anyone else experienced this (Hot air both sides, not just one)? If so, how was it resolved?
