Hey all,

Today my 02 LS did the whole overheat thing that everyone has trouble with. Well the check engine light came on and I was curious if you can reset these at home or does the dealership need to do it? Also when the overheating thing happened I opened the reservoir cap and a a lot of air pressure came out then I could hear the coolant flow again, almost like the system was air locked. I know everyone has this problem but has anyone had the same system reaction when wrenching on there vehicles?

P.S. I have never had any leaks or coolant spots on the ground

Thanks

If you disconnect the battery, you lose all your radio presets...and maybe the seat memory too (not sure on that one)...plus the adaptive strategy in the computer. You can pull the fuses to the ECM and do the same thing and not affect the other components. But you lose the adaptive strategy. If you have the codes cleared by a scan tool...that's all that happens. Nothing else.
