Chrome Window Trim

Hi,
I have a big problem , last year i painted the chrome window trim of my mark black and of coures i used the wrong primer so it did not stick so my trim has chunks of chrome and black and it looks realy nasty. Now i want to go back and redo it right but i cant get the paint that stayed on off i tryed sanding and that did not really work paint thinner did not work at all eather. so i need to find out how to get all the paint off so i can redo it stuff off any tips?

How did sanding not work?

I mean if you just sand it down and repaint it shouldnt that be enough?? I wouldnt think you would need to completly remove it would you?

Once you do get it off what you will need to use is an etching primer.

allright i will do what u guys say sanding works a little but it is hard because i dont want to sctach the rubber and window thanks for the help.

Try putting some painters tape on the window and rubber
