can the need for a tune-up trigger a check transmission message. i looked for the symptoms of a tune-up and it says hard start, knocking, hesitation, and pinging, i have all of these symptoms. what do y'all think??

i think you should get all those things first. more than likely it's a coil or something.
sounds like your on the same boat as me. Welcome to the control pack (aka solenoid pack) in the transmission. Do you have harder and longer shifts? Its not a bad job though. Drop the pan, drop the filter and there are 2 bolts holding it on then re-assembly
i only have long and hard shifts from 0 to 20 after that it rides regular. then an e pops up, aftre the e pops up the car ride regular. no jerks, long or hards after the e. but i was thinking it felt like a misfire and it starts hard sometimes. how much does a solenoid job cost???
