i have an 03 lincoln ls v8 sport and the check transmission light went on last night and after i turned off the car and restarted it the light went away and today i started it and it wasnt on then after 15 minutes of driving it check transmission came back on and when i was driving it it felt like it had to go to high rpms to shift into first gear does anyone no if they can tell me the problem

could be solenoid pack or valve body. It is defintely something you will have to have done at the dealer. As much as I dislike dealerships I wouldn't trsut that work to anyone else but.

how much are solenoid pack or vavlve body cost to do and i just got a warranty which mean i have to wait 30 days to do any of it

IIRC the pats are abot 300 to 400 each. I will look later. It requires a transmission fluid flush/refill which about another 170 dollars as well plus the labor. It is easily a 1200 dollar job after all is said and done.

Well I brought the car to the dealer and they said the 2nd and 5th gear were missed up so I need a new transmission shietttttt

hated. Are you still under warranty?

If not ask for an after warranty adjustment. If the mileage is low enough you might get it.

check transmission light? are yout alking about the "E" that comes up or the check engine light?

i'm pretty sure to get it into first gear you have to depress the accelerator 60%

I feel the car drives normal but I feel the rpms reel high when it switches and when I use the tiptronic it works so I'm confused about that
