check trans light

Hey guys, I just had a 2002 engine put in my 2000 LS V8. I've got two transmission codes showing, P0715 input/turbine speed sensor circuit failure and P0720 output speed sensor circuit malfuncton. What would cause this? Is it a big problem or something simple, or hard to say? Please help, any ideas?

Sure all the connectors got hooked up correctly on the tranny?

BlackLS06, I'm not taking it back to the guy who installed it! If I could do it over I would'nt have hired him, thats on me. I'm just asking if someone might recognize these problem codes, or might have seen these and had some imput on them.

Sorry, I don't have the gen I wiring diagrams. I would guess that maybe both of those sensors have a common connector that is unplugged, but that's just a guess.

I would demand he do it right or find someone to do it right on his bill.

I understand what you're saying completely, but its my fault for hiring him in the first place. I was trying to save some money, looking back, I knew I was taking a risk. I'm cutting ties with this fellow, I'm just trying to get the bugs worked out. I'm taking it to the dealer soon as I have the chance.

Good news, I think. Uncle has a lift, put it up on the lift this morning and found a couple of plugs up on top of tranny not connected. My arm won't fit up there too good, my uncle was able to plug up the one nearest to the driveshaft, he said the second one did'nt feel like it went all the way in. I let the car down and tried to see if the codes would stay off. I erased the codes and the output speed sensor code 0720 stayed off, but I still have the imput/turbine code 0715. My question is, of the three plugs up top is the second one the Imput/turbine speed sensor? Anyone have a picture of the area? Thanks, Bossed

Problem solved, all three speed sensors were not plugged in. Thank you all for the help and advice, Its really appreciated
