Ran by the autozone and the codes were both o2 sensors and car is running rich/lean every once in awhile. Now the check engine light has only been on for about a month but i thought it may have just been bad gas but looks like something else. Only run 93 octane so not sure on wat actions to take. My friends here in atlanta have shared the Seafoam method which im leaning towards but not sure.
Also both o2 sensors have been replaced in the last yr according to previous owner but who can trust that. Lolz

You've got a vac leak somewhere, check all those small hoses and connections

And you said rich/lean ...is it both?

Rich = too much fuel , ...vac leak

Lean = too much air, ...clogged injectors/clogged fuel filter

Don't forget to check the rubber tee on the driver's side at the top of the intake manifold. I have seen that fail repeatedly on these cars and cause a significant leak at the intake manifold which can cause a lean condition. The O2s may be simply trying to compensate for a vacuum leak and setting of your engine light. So fear not, your O2s MIGHT be fine.

K ill check tomorrow in the daylight for leaks and as for the readout on the codes it says both banks. If that helps

+1
Auto places push O2 sensors.. because those are the sensors that TELL you if your running rich or lean per bank. They aren't necessarily the cause of the condition

And fuel economy has dropped over the last month as well. Wat would be some differences on i would determine whether its running rich or lean
Any smells, signs, motions, tell tell signs

Yeah, use a scanner
Code readers are parts sellers

Don't go to autozone for a diagnosis. If those people knew how to fix cars, they wouldn't be working at autozone

In order to have a Rich condition, this means more air is entering the cylinder than the MAF can see. Somewhere your engine is sucking in more than just at the intake pickup tube. You can use spray Starter Fluid and spray around the intake and spray the vac lines and fittings with a quick blast... when you've sprayed over an opening the engine will rev up (because you just gave it extra fuel from a can)

Having a vac leak will decrease your fuel economy as the car puts itself in safe mode, with the CEL. This increases the fuel consumption

you mean lean condition.

for the computer to go rich, less air is entering than the eec thinks. so the eec injects too much fuel. or you have a injector stick open.

Yeah... thanks Chris... its late, my brains shutting down..lol

Hmmm I guess its possible to have both issues on both banks.
Clogged up fuel system + vac leaks...

Let's take care of the intake first... vac lines (if old and brittle will crack in half like dried up twigs) and all the rubber connectors for them dry rot and fall apart or could just be loose from someone wiping things off. This is the cheapest place to start hunting

Did the vacation leak test everything is awesome with not even a jump in idle no where. And I have the seafoam ready for in the morning. But I'm not exactly sure where to put it. Can some shoot a pic of the hose or hoses to pour in on my 97 mark
