"check charging system" question

So I replaced the factory battery in my 02 LS, the car had 94k on it and it wasn't holding a charge and checked out to have one or more dead cells. Now 2 months later the "check charging system" indicator with the battery light comes on every few days just for 30 seconds to 1 minute and then goes off. I've checked the cables in the trunk, not loose no corrosion.

Is the alternator on the way out? Any recommendations? I saw recent posts mentioning alternator swap tech, so I'll follow up with a search for the steps.

I had the same exact problem. The message would come up for no longer than a minute, and it would only occure once every few days. Sometimes it would come up 2 or 3 times within a 5 minute span. The problem was the alternator on its way out. Replaced it and not a problem since
