Driving home on the interstate today, hit a big dip and the car went WAY down then WAY back up! I THINK I might've gotten some air from it, but then the traction light cut on and the check A-trac message popped up. Stayed on until the car was restarted about an hour later at a rest stop. I didnt think much of it, but I do kinda wonder why it cut on because the car tracked perfectly straight when it hit the dip and afterwards. Would getting a small amount of hangtime make the A-trac cut on? :shifty:

Mine Always does this when I go across a rail road crossing that has a hump in it, almost impossible not to get some hang time. The Check Advance track comes on and flashes for a few seconds on mine. Also does this on slippery streets and sometimes sudden tight turns.

I am guessing yours turned on because you may have had several wheels sending funny data to the computer or maybe it lasted longer than the short blips I get.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson

Hmmm, maybe its just a little too sensitive then. Had the codes read today and of course, there was nothing there.

Come to think of it it has done that once before, but I was going down a gravel road that was pretty much nothing but washboards for a few miles. I figured it must have overloaded or something because the car was everywhere from bouncing off the tops of the mounds in the road.

Light came on again today. Had to slam on the brakes hard to avoid running into a van that cut across 3 lanes to make a left turn in front of me. I read in a past thread somone had mentioned a similar issue and it turned out their brake fluid was low, and after refilling it the problem went away. So I checked mine after work today. It was just below the seam in the reservior, so I added some. Now ill just have to see if it makes any difference.
