Ive got a CEL and took it over to the service dept today for them to plug into it. I have a couple of codes, one of which has to do with a Vehicle Speed Sensor issue, and the other to do with a Torque Converter issue. I did just have the dash out last weekend for the heater core sway, my question is there a plug somewhere I forgot to plug in that could cause both of my issues? Does anyone know where the vehicle speed sensor plugs into near the dash? Thanks!

I looked in the wiring diagram, and couldn't find an obvious connector. I'd suggest looking at the connections under the left side of the dash near the PCM.

Did you happen to take the car thru an automatic car wash before you got the codes? I took my 97 thru one of those brushless automatic washes a few weeks ago, and water got up onto the transmission harness. I got a CEL and a couple of messages on the message center.

As soon as the car dried out, the messages and the CEL cleared up and haven't returned.

no. come to think of it i dont remember any of my marks going through an automatic wash.

Ill check the connections again, im sure i just missed something. I was trying to avoid having to tear the dash apart again, but it looks like I may have to.
