CD player problems

I already tried that. I held all the buttons down for a minimum of 30 seconds and nothing.

It's lost it's mind, pretty common for Ford's 6 disc stuff to do. You can try removing the fuses for the various systems or just unhooking the battery for 5 minutes or so. Once it powers up it'll go through a reboot sequence.

by far the biggest problem with ford six disc radios is the failure of the changer. a new replacement is spendy, finding someone to serviced it in you area can be challenging, and even after repair, it can fail again, sometimes soon, there have been a few people that have had theirs successfully repaired. going aftermarket would be my choice to go, you will get a much better system, with tons of extra features (and yes, your steering wheel controls can be used), but because you have the THX system, the install is much more complicated and difficult and would require an installer with a good amount of experince or being able to follow all of the very well laid out instructions here.

First off, are you absolutely sure there are no CDs already installed? The lights indicate there are CDs already there.

Try holding just the eject button until all the slot lights blink. Or hit the eject button and then select one of the slots. If that doesn't work try pulling the fuse. There is also a reset button on the rear of the unit (requires removing the radio), IIRC. I had to have a unit repaired on our 2000 years ago and the damage was ~$100 for an exchange. Call your local dealer and see where they send the units for repair. Occasionally the THX HU pops up on ebay....

Maybe its just me, but i saw the lights blink after u hit the eject buttom. When the lights start flashing your supposed to pick a slot (hit a number) to eject the CD.

DOH!!! I just noticed that! Yes, you must select a slot to eject once the lights flash.

***update***

I took out the radio this morning and then took off the top of the CD player revealing that it does have CDs in it.

CD

I then took some compressed air and blew out the CD player thinking maybe it was dusty or something.

I put everything back together and plugged in the radio and I get this:
Error
