CD Player (Cd theft!!)

Ok, so heres the deal. I have the standard one-disc cd player in my 94 Mk8. Whenever i go to load a cd in it, it wont play. It starts spinning the cd around, i guess. And it clicks and clicks. And then it says Bad Cd. But it says that with every cd. And then if the cd is in there and you push eject... it wont give it back! Then, when you turn the key off, it still clicks. But eventually, it gives the cd back. Does anybody know whats going on with this piece of crap? B/c id like to use my cd's. Thanks, Brad

I had a similar problem on my Dodge Infinity stereo and a Marantz laser head cleaner worked....

Worth the $9.99 just to read the fancy box and wildly optimistic technical information, and then realize it is just a CD with a false eyelash glued onto it.

tried it...

i had a cleaning disk laying around and got it in there, AND it played. I followed the steps, it said it cleaned it. BUT it wouldn't give it back. After about 10 minutes of pushing eject and turning the power off.. i finally got it to give it back.

So therefore i think the problem is it WONT give CD'S BACK! so if anybody knows about this, or has had the say problem, let me know!!

Also, i dont know if this has anything to do with the problem, but my speakers go on and off all the time... thats another thing i need to get fixed.. any suggestions?
