When I go to eject a disk out of the changer It only spits it out a little bit and I have to pull it the rest of the way out.

I'm assuming that's not normal, because after every time it happens I get a error. I have to shut it off and turn it back on and try to eject the same disk again before it says I have an empty slot.

Is there anything I should look at or is it safe to say that this thing is on its way out?

I had this problem a while back and it was due to my putting paper labels on my home burned cds. These changers are very sensitive to those. If it's not that, then I don't know.

Unfortunately I have been only using purchased cd's and ones without labels so idk what the deal is.

So it begins.

Man that was a lot of help thanks. :eyeroll:

I understand that you don't like the LS and I don't really care. It's a 6 year old car at this point and It's bound to have a few problems. I really hope that every time I have a question about the car you're not jumping in here and running down the car.

cd changers have a lot of moving parts and will fail unfortunately.

is aftermarket an option? if not there are some stock systems on ebay.

Aftermarket is an option and one I would like to pursue in the future but my other car is sucking the funds so its not an option at the moment because I want to get a double din.

Dude, sorry didn't mean to bash the car. I am having trouble with an in dash CD changer right now(don't really know if the ls is in-dash or what). Fords in-dash CD changers suck. Everyone in my family drives FORDs and the CD changer takes a dump eventually.

They are indeed in dash i think only the first year were glovebox.

the rest all the way up to the gps navigation unit are indash changers.

They suck balls. I can see how my post was chitty. I meant to put more, but I had a service call and had to ride out to Peoria because this lady called and said the furnace I installed had been making funny noises. I get there and she walks over to the sump pump and says it goes swish, swish. No chit, thats what they do moron. Furnace is on the other side of the basement. She is gonna be pissed when she gets my $75 bill.

You wish:rolleyes:
Honestly I look the way they look modded. There are just too many of them. I can't buy a pack of smokes without running into nine guys that drive LSs. And again, I'm not bashing the car, but alot of the dudes rocking them look like Paully D and say chit at the bar like, "Yo Chief, Two Jaggerbombs".

Your guys rides are sweet and I would rock til the wheels fell off, I just wouldn't buy one.

I dont see very many marks or LS's at all. Even fewer are modded.

And when i do see them i like to see them....just not beat to hell like some. The LS is far from a common everyday car such as an F150, mustang, camry, 350z..etc.

Thats why the "i see too many LS's!" comment makes no sense to me. and each year more are more are being wrecked and less are on the road. its been 5 years now since theyve been out of production.

No joke around here, there are tons. They are cheap too. I see at least 4 a day, but get mad windshield time. A few are modded most are stock. Chit they are all over the dealerships here too. The older ones look beat, but so do all the marks around here too. My neighbor behind me has an LSE that looks just like dysfunctional's. About three blocks down by the Caseys there is another navy LSE.

Ive only seen one same color as yours at some apartments nearby.

Would have snapped a pic but i didnt have my camera with me.

Mine is somewhat rare but alot of the other reds are real similar. 93 was the last year for this color on a Linc.

I'll have to remember to snap some pics of the LSEs they look pretty clean.

draggin the train back on track..........

the FoMoCo oem in dash changers are crap, once it starts it never stops. you can get it repaired, dealerships send them out to shops for the tune of 300-700 they completely refurbish it
ive had a lot if them apart with usually good results the key is to get the cds out of it now while you still can

Yea I took them all out the other day. I guess I'll just have to live with XM for now..

well i'm about 30 m ins away from the D, right near where all the rich people live around the U of M, and i see at least 3 or 4 every day, at least its not as common as a 3 series around here, if you dont see at least 7-9 a day, your not paying attention to your surroundings.
