There is a member on here with a nice LS with Carbon Fiber on his hood. I am wondering if you guys know who I talking about. My question is -Is it real Carbon Fiber or painted? I saw the pics awhile back so I can't remember.
Next question- Does anyone know if you lay down the CF mesh and clear coat it, will it give the same look? I don't believe you need the resin since I would be using the oem hood for the support. Also would I need alot of coats of clear due to the thickness of the mesh? These are just ideas for now. I am also looking into getting a new rear end and having new axles fabbed up to put some crazy staggered wheels on the LS. Like I said these are just ideas for now, I haven't really taken any measurements for the rear end to see if any suspension changes/relocating will be needed. I'm also not sure if changes will need to be made to the trunk floor as well. Let me know if you guys think I am nuts, or if anyone else has thought of this.
