Seems to only happen after a cruise. Doesn't click, just kills dash lights, and nothing else. Let it sit for 30 mins and it seems to be ok. Selnoid?

Could be the alternator or battery. Seen it before. But I have a similar problem and know my alt and batt are good. I am pretty sure my solenoid is toast. I have a new one to put it, just not getting around to it. For me it also happens after a cruise when things are hot. If I turn the key the starter barely turns over if at all. Take about three tries and it fires up. Seems like the solenoid is not making contact quite right.

most likely its the starter and solenoid and/or the battery terminal at the starter being corroded.

This doesnt click, does it when it is heated up on a cruise, and ordered a starter, putting on fri. morning. Battery is good to go, tested and 11 month old Interstate.
