Alright guys i'm having serious problems with my 00 LS V8.

Some of you already know that I was having shaking problems while idiling that started Tuesday. But today the car won't crank at all.

I get power from my battery and when I turn the key my needles started bouncing like crazy but my radio turns on. I tried jumping the battery and it still did the same thing.

I'm wondering if it could be my alternator that could be the problem but i can't even move the car to get a diag run on it.

I already know that I have to replace my Thermostat, 2 Window Regulators, and whatever the problem is with the shaking either it be O rings or bad coils. But I really need to know why its acting like its acting now after two days since the shaking started Tues. Its had a complete tune-up a few months ago and can't really put my finger on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

When's the last time you checked your oil?

I just ask this because when I first started dating my current girlfriend, she didn't ever check her oil. She called me from my driveway one night, said her car just died, and wouldn't start again. So after a quick look over, I checked the dipstick... bone dry.

Take your battery and alternator to get checked. Needles jumping is a sign of a bad battery. It happened to me. Car wouldnt start.. it was the cranking amps in the cold. I see you're in Columbia, so i doubt the cold is an issue. Good Luck.

I had the same problem...it was the battery.

I don't think its the pedal because when I got my tune-up a few months ago I got the battery replaced with a new one. If it is the battery then it might be some bad cells or something. But when it comes to the alternator I don't know how to take it out. So if anybody can help me we instructions on how to take the alternator out to get checked it would help a lot.

And My Oil is at 78% so i'm good on oil and i checked it just in case.

lol... that's oil life... he means oil level.

I'm leaning toward a bad battery or connection. Perhaps a bad alternator, but unlikely; I think you'd have noticed a problem before you shut the car down last time if it had been failing to charge your battery.

Similar issue just happened to me. I was going to start a new thread but this may do. I was changing my headlight yesterday and installing my angel eyes in the new one, and for whatever reason, they weren't working! I know they were hooked up correctly, and they were wokring on my old headlight.

I finally said F-- it and connected the headlight without connecting the angel eyes. (Mind you during this who time I didn't start my car, I was just turning my lights on and off). Well when I turned on my headlights one last time, to see if my low/high beams were on, the angel eyes in both headlights were out, but my headlights did turn on, so I wasn't worried about it.

well, when I went to turn on my car this morning, it wouldn't turn over. I kept on hearing a clicking sound, and my speedo/rpm needles were flying everywhere. My interior lights turned on, but my windshield wipers were really slow. Is this a relay issue? battery issue? alternator issue (hope not)?

My door was pretty much open during this whole procedure with the angel eye lights. So maybe I just drained the battery when the interior lights were on?

Please help!!

I don't think you can drain your battery just by keeping the door open. I keep them open when I do interior stuff like head unit, door speakers, etc. The lights are only on for 5-10 minutes, then turn off automatically. Did you try tapping into existing wiring for your angel eyes, or did you run a separate power source from the fuse box?

I jumped it and now it works. I think I just killed the battery when I was working on my car. We'll see how long the charge will hold for. I think I'm due for a new battery anyway
