car wont start need a lil help

quick question.. i was drivin home and got in my driveway and i got a check traction control light, then a check abs light. i turned the car off and tried to restart and i would turn twice but wont start. then all the guages will go to the max and return to zero. lights work, door lock switch works, windows go up and down but car just wont start. i did some searches but noone with this particular problem. i just need some opinions before i take it to the dealership and pay money to have them check it out when it could just be a batter. thanx

You're right, you should get your battery checked first. Autozone & Advanced Auto Parts will check it for you for free.

i did some more searching and i think i found my answer. looks like an alrernator. my battery is at advance autoparts now and it was at 333 cca but that could also be because the alrearnator was dead huh. :-s oh well i`ll just try the battery again and if it dosen`t work , its dealership time.

Im having the same problem,
when you try to turn it over does it make clicking noises and cause the lights to flash and the horn to go off along with the gauges???????
