Car went dead!

My car went dead on me on the Interstate tonight while I was driving home. My radio starting popping on and off, the advance track light came on and the instrument panel light just got dim all of a sudden. I pulled over and turn the car off and tried to start it again and nothing. Waited a few minutes and it started but no light's in the instrument panel, headlights or nothing. I managed to drive it off the interstate into a parking light where I called a tow truck. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? I'm going to search the threads also to see if anyone else may have had the same or similar problem.

I would check the Battery and Alternator.

Got the LS fixed today. It was the alternator. Felt bad for the mechanic though, it was whooping his a@#, but he got done. Thanks for everybody's input, especially you Pete.

Typical alternator symptoms. I don't have an LS and even I know that.

How much did the alternator replacement run you? LeasR I really like your car by the way....all black with chrome rims is a nice look
