can the tail light trim be removed?

i was wondering can the chrome trim off a gen2 tail lights be easily removed & replaced by some trim off another better tail light? if so whats the best way to do it & what to look out for? thanx (i have a tail light that has a broken lens but good trim & a tail with good lens & rusted trim)

The outer Taillamp trim can be removed by inserting something like a screwdriver between the base and the trim retainer ! The two pieces are fused together at various points which are apparent ! Use epoxy to reatach the trim ! The center (Neon) Taillamp is a different story ! The lower trim will slide off and on , but I do not know how to remove and reinstall an upper trim moulding !

I do have some new and used 97-98 Taillamps and Ballasts for sale !
