CAN I REMOVE THIS?? need help quick!

Can i remove the circled thing on the strut to get access to the bump stop? I want to remove these bump stops from my old struts to place on my new ones that no one wants to buy lol.... the new ones have the bump stops trimmed down an inch. and instead of getting new struts might as well try and get these bump stops on the new ones? can it be done?

yeah you could remove it I believe... there's a retainer that holds it in place. But easier than that is to just pull the bump stops off. Give them a good smooth pull and they will slide right over the sleeve. No damage done. Just make sure you put the correct ones on the front and rear.

cool I actually did it and it worked.... I will be changeing them this weekend.
