Ok I've been looking around on other forums and can't seem to get a good idea on the lift and duration and the lobe seperation of cams on all dohc engines from all models that had dohc 4.6/5.4......some people say to put 03 cobra exhaust cams in but others say its the same cam already in the mark..... and others say to use 96-98 cobra cams but wouldn't they be the same as my 97...... and what about navigator cams for the lower to mid range trq if that's a good idea......I have a 96 engine on a stand that I want to build but nothing to crazy and I can get cams hella cheap from these selections but I can't get a straight answer on if the cams are different or not or if ill lose power on it or gain power thanks

Well I have a spare engine on a stand sitting doin nothing so I wanna rebuild it but I don't wanna do aftermarket cams either u know so doin it is not a problem for more its the money for certain parts is what I don't wanna spend

Different software programs will give you more of a bang than changing cams, you should check into that before doing something that will make your ride lose power and efficiency.

Exhuast cam are the same. Unless you go with a cobra intake useless to swap the intake cam. A small build will cost a pretty pennie. So what are the plans for the motor

I'd like to do a Kenne bell set up if not that a lower manifold with an Eaton I think they made a kit for the 96-98 for the b heads for a 2.1l so that be the big plan if no just a :q:q:q:q load of bolt ons and porting with a nice stall and gears

Exhaust cams are all pretty much the same. 96-98 Cobra intake cams are the most aggressive stock intake cams.
