Hey guys

I have a lead on a guy that could produce a panel for me to mount the switches in. Question is, where would be a good place? He says if he's given a location, he can make a panel to snap right into that location. Simple black panel with white lettering available, he can also do a woodgrain finish and possibly more.

I figure the ashtray would be a good option but I know some would like to keep that location for the obvious. So come up with some ideas and I'll see about getting the info to him. I'd like to find one universal location if possible that way he could run off multiples at a time, rather than having to run off several different ones.

Thanks all!

Adam

When I was going to do a multi-switch type setup I planned on used small switches and placing them under my head unit. It being single-din in a double din space.

Well, I'm planning on having him make me a panel for inside the center console. On the Gen2's there is a slight ledge around the front portion of the pocket. I plan on having mine made to sit right on that ledge. Then the wires will come through the knockout where the factory phone would plug into.

I too had thought about putting them on the dash below my head unit but I would rather have the switches somewhat hidden and out of site.

Keep the ideas coming and make sure you specify whether the location pertains to a Gen1 or a Gen2.

Thanks

Hmmm, I can't think exactly, I'll take a good look at my car tomorrow and see if I come up with. Personally my center counsel is nearly full but I could do away with the ash tray, that'd give me a reason to finally hardwire my valentine 1.

I'll take a look at that spot and see if that works for me.
