Bushings?

Anyone ever have any luck finding any bushings for the rear? I am new here, and have read a lot of threads pertaining to this issue, but I haven't come across a solution yet. I just wasn't sure if there was a thread that someone did find them and I may have missed it. Thanks in advance, mot
 
The rear lower control arms. Sorry. I was getting it aligned awhile ago and the mechanic said they were going. My friend who is the counter guy looked for replacement bushings, but said the only available option is to replace the whole control arm. They weren't shot completely and I didn't wanna fork over $400/side parts only yet. I have been looking around for replacement bushings w/ no luck. I read that the Jags have the same suspension and that a lot of the bushings are a match. Thanks
 
UGH! OK. Thanks. Didn't wanna have to go this route. Bothers me that every other vehicle I've owned/worked on had replaceable bushings. Oh well.... drive it til I need em i guess. For now I just gotta get the car up and running again - VCG/COP/Plug job. Dead in the driveway. Wife and child at home w/o car til then. :( Thanks again
 
PLEASE 2000 non sport v8 i want front and rear new motocraft sport shocks but not sure on exact part #s
 
Call the dealership and get them to give you part numbers. Look it up on some Fordparts website.

Just gotta put in some effort.
 
YES SIR ive posted it bout 3x now 05LS8 ive put in effort so thank you very much i am srry sumpn crawled n ur ass n died today because i woodnt post anything if i havent spent extensive time researching it myself GRELL i apologize for the thread jack im jus kinda on a time constraint n need them ordered asap someone finally suggested pm or emailn max so i did hopefully i can get some genuine help from someone that knows what they are doin thnx for your time :D

This has been covered a lot on here. You would have to take the control arms off, take the bushings out, take a caliper tool to measure them and then see if you can find the size or something close. I have plans to experiment with this when I do my springs. Right now my car is still in the shop getting painted.
 
Please let us know if you are able replace the bushings. I am hoping it is possible to press in some new bushings with some off the shelf ones, but it seems no one has done this. Or if someone has, they have not let anyone here know what sizes are needed. One would think that with the way the LS eats bushings that a company like Energy Suspension would have gotten a used control arm and tried to determine what sizes were needed.
