Finally got rid of my driveshaft that vibrated like crazy due to 4.10s and put in my 4 inch dynotech this weekend.... while i was at it, i did a 255 pump. Also about a month ago, i was getting a horrible thunk coming from my rear and found out the carrier was jaring around. I ordered a set of poly carrier bushings to solve this, but i guess the kit only comes with the front ones and it turns out its taht big rear one thats completely shot. O well, its easy to get to and i put the front poly ones in anyway- i'll pick up the rear at the ford dealership during the week (if its still made) Got her going about 100 wiht absolutely no vibes, when before theyd start at around 50.
Also some advice... i wouldnt drive around for a long time like i did with horrible driveshaft vibrations... ALL the bolts that hold the shaft to the yolk of the rearend were so loose i took them all out with my fingers and didnt even use a wrench. This is about a year after having my rear rebuilt, im guessing if i had kept going they would have totally come out. Made me scared that i was driving like that.
