Hey everyone, happy holidays!

I ran into an odd problem last night, the car had a very bumpy idle. It's a 2000 V6, auto tranny, 81k miles. So the car was running great for the entire trip, and then at a stop light it got very bumpy. It was really wierd, I've never seen anything like it before. It almost felt like it has an extreme cam in there, very lopey, but the rpms were steady, they weren't dropping or anything like that. Does that make sense? It's kind of hard to explain. It only happened in drive and reverse, not in park, I think because the rpms go up a little in park. It doesn't hesitate or feel like a miss under load. Anyway, I parked the car and ran into the store, came back, the car started fine and it started doing the bumpy idle again, but not as bad, would do it for a few seconds then stop. Parked it again and came out an hour later and the car now runs great. No check engine light and no codes. Any ideas?

I just got the car about a 1k miles ago, so I don't know too much about the history of it, just from what the carfax report tells me, I got it from a dealer, so I don't have any details.

Thank you for the help!!

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. That's what my first thought was too. It just didn't feel like any other miss I've come across. We're going out of town with the car in a couple of days, hopefully it won't come back until after we get back and I'll have time to fix it.

So what coils should I go with? I've seen the threads about LS Konsepts (I think) making an updated one for the V8, I don't remember seeing much about the V6. Any recommendations for the V6?

Thank you again!
