Has anybody had this happen? If you take your intake manifold off and look at the front and back ends, you will notice a circular disc in the middle. Well mine exploded one day during startup and blew the rear disc off the manifold. What could cause this? I have a leaky injector or two and a long hard crank because of them. Could they be related? Secondly, it looks like those discs are just glued on, I'm thinking i'll be ok glueing it back on. Any thoughts? 01 V8 Non-sport w/ 101,000 miles.

It is possible that the leaky injector caused an engine backfire through the intake, causing it to break. Even if they are glued on, the hard part will be finding the correct glue that can actually glue that specific type of plastic together, and withstand the heat and cold and engine has to go through. I'd say look to see if you can find an used intake manifold in a junkyard or on ebay first.
