Looking on ebay, I see a bunch of the led lightbulbs for our tail lights (3357). Does anyone know how bright the standard bulbs are that are in there now? I used vht nightshades on my tail lights, and I got a 'warning' from a police officer. He said to buy brighter bulbs and it wouldn't be an issue. Anyone have any experience from these ebay ones? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3157...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Or just some cheapo bright bulbs.

i would think they would be brighter, but only focus in one area......my trans am had them in the dash when i got it........where the lights were at were was bright, but the rest of the gauge was dark....

I had similar ones in my 90 Cougar, the problem I was was the LED's would quit working and it made my turn signals annoyingly fast. On that car, I couldn't upgrade the flasher because it was part of a module, you can however add load resistors in line with the bulb to made a standard flasher function properly.

Never tried them on a Mark before, so I couldn't tell you, the one thing I didn't like was that my tail lights were just a simple red dot after installing them.

LED technology has come a long way in the past few years and you could probably get bulbs that have the same output if not a little more. The problem with LED's is they are fairly directional with the output. If I were you, I'd consider buying a set listed as 360 degrees, meaning there are bulbs down the side and on the end, this will help with better output. I also found these and was curious about them as well, it's a cool design and gives you a better spread.

I'm not looking to drop 70 bucks on tail lights, I was just wondering if there is a brighter bulb they make, I did look into the LED thing a little more, they are directional, oh well.
