i was doing my brakes today and had a bitch of a time getting one of the floating things (where you bolt the caliper to the bracket) would not turn or move in or out, i pulled the rubber grommet back and sprayed it with PB blaster. could this cause problems??

You absolutely want those to move very freely...

Every time I do my brakes I take them all the way out, clean and regrease them.

i soaked it pretty good with some PB blaster, hopefully it will work itself loose, or would i be better off buying a new one. it was pretty corroded

ya i kinda of figured that. i had a hard enough time sliding it back to spray PB Blaster in there, let alone taking it off to clean it

thats a caliper slide pin, it should slide very easily. use a small screwdriver and work the boot off of the pin, then take the bracket to a shop and have them heat it up. ive had some glowing before the pin came out, once its out wire wheel the pin and clean the hell out of the bore, and grease the living hell out of it
