I know this has been covered before, trust me, I searched. But all that did was confuse me more. I was considering an 03/04 Cobra blower for my Mark but shops here in town are telling me it wont bolt up because the bolt pattern on the heads/intake are different. Is that true? Personally Iwas thinking going this route because I *think* it would require far less fabricating than anything else and theoretically Icould source parts for a Cobra. Am Ion the right track or am I AFU? Thank you.

It is possible but far more costly than you think. You will need 03/04 heads, front timing cover, all the accessories, the fuel injectors etc. By the time you get all the parts it would be cheaper to get 99/01 C heads and get a KB for it and you will make more power like that.

I agree with 98. Besides, the Autorotor is a hell of a lot more efficient than the Eaton unit.

Gotcha thanks for clearing that up. Might be cheaper and easier to throw some NO2 on it and be done with it.

Edit: Ive done even more reading and such now, found the Kenne Bell 2.1L kit for $3700. Anyone have an idea of what else I would need or is it fairly all inclusive? Here is a Link

Yea it would. You would also be surprised to find out your nitrous Mark VIII can run faster than a blown Mark VIII with the proper setup. I like the new Zex kits, they are very well put together and easy to install.

Or you could try the 96-98 cobra intake manifold and then add a pro-charger, vortech, or even a kenny bell for a 96-98 cobra from what I hear the heads match. The centrifugals fit under our hoods the roots dont, then you have to fab a new hood since nobody makes one for the gen 2s(yet). Im going to go with the cobra intake and all the bolt-ons, then Iwill try the blower. I dont want to risk blowing her up, and for now this is the cheapest route for me.
Good luck with your choices on your project.

You don't need a new hood any blower you put on should fit underneath the stock gen 2 head. The KB 2.1 kit for the B heads will work but the biggest issues is it's non inter cooled. It's not a bad blower though especially since it's made for our heads. If you decide to get the kit I would fab up some type of methanol injection to keep the engine cool.

So intercooling is not possible if not done from the get go? I thought it was optional. Oops

You should send a pm to roadboss he has done the kb 2.1 upgrade,do a searh the thread even has a video of a dyno run. He can tell you excatly what you need to get this project moving, either way you go some fabrication is needed.

Actually, Roadboss has C heads with the KB 2.2 for the C heads. And that kit is intercooled.
