Blower motor wire

I've had an issue with my blower cutting in and out and recently it just stopped working all together. This article explains how to fix it: http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00067.html so i went and moved the wire and heard the blower turn on and i knew it was a loose connection. I went to fix it and both ends of the orange wire that lead into the blower from the relay?(I don't know what it is connected to but it is a movable box), anyway both ends of the wire are extremely burnt and the white connector is partially melted. I had an issue with the compressor that blew on me and a cycling switch that was bad but i don't know if that is related. Anyone know if it will be fine just to replace the wire with a spare? Thanks.

I have had the same problems with a couple of my Marks. I always check for good wires in the junkyard. Just replace it and you should be fine.
