Replaced the egr valve today, and while doing so i snapped off the fuel pressure regulator sensor nipple. (knew i shoulda took it off)
so i took it off and gas spurted out, i was like aww crapp. I had to take it off anyways to fix it.
Im using a jb weld epoxy to put the nipple back on at least until i can buy a replacement part later (if this fix doesnt work)
I've epoxied the nipple on very carefully making sure none dribbles down into the hole and ruining the whole thing.

my question is, and i havent turned on the car at all in fear i'll destroy something else..
what is the procedure for bleeding air out of the fuel lines after ive put the sensor back in? Ive read a few how tos for different cars, but havent found anything specific to the lincoln ls.

ive found the bleed valve on the fuel rail on the driver side, this the only one right?
thanks, im hoping to have this back running in the morning.

The fuel line bleed procedure for the LS: Turn the key to start and hold it there until the engine fires up and runs. (It may take one or three seconds longer than normal.)

I don't think the JB Weld will last long.Get that part ASAP. don-ohio (:^)

I think that he broke the vacuum line side, not the fuel pressure side. Anyway, yes I would replace the pressure sensor ASAP.

That makes me feel better,Joe. I had visions of it letting loose while he drove down the road. don-ohio (:^)

Yes its the vacuum nipple.

Ok thanks joe, i'll give it a try!

EDIT: crunk right on up, no problems. been driving around so far so good. Will be checking off and on for any fuel leakage/nipple breakage until i can get a replacement.
