Billet/Chrome Hood Struts?

My passenger side hood strut went out on me. Its keeps popping off the strut ball stud on the fender.
Has anyone out there tried putting a set of Billet or Chrome hood struts? I thought I check to see if anyone has before I buy an OE to replace the one that's bad or a new strut ball stud if it's only that.

Those are pretty expensive but they look great. I have not tried them and I dont know anyone who has but if they fit they will help dress up the engine bay fairly well. Mine developed a leak and I just used OEM

you can actually sand yours down, like the larger portion and they will shine up very nice. I did it to a pair and they looked great. Then just clear them and you have a set for like 10 bucks instead of 130
