Anyone ever had that feeling where your throttle is more responsive after driving on the highway for a couple miles?

On my 2005, my throttle response is shyt no matter where I am.

My 2002 on the other hand, Cable throttle, Responds like a Boss.

Seriously a complaint Ive had about the second Gen. Here's a typical scenario between Me and the 2005 on a 1 hour trip involving highways/street driving.

Me Driving 05: "hmm... I should slightly accelerate to merge in appropriately" *presses pedal*
2005 LS: "Derp derp derp.. oh whats this? A command to accelerate? hm..... lemme think about it for a sec... OK!"
Me Driving 05: "CRAP too late, car didn't accelerate when I needed to. *Lets off pedal*
2005 LS: "OK HERE WE GO! DOWN SHIFT!!! ENGINE REV.. Oh wait, we're not going anymore?"

Now my 2002 on the other hand...

Me Driving 02: "Hm, I should Accelerate to.."
2002 LS: "DOWN SHIFT! RAISE RPMS! BAM! HERE'S YOUR POWER"
Me Driving 02: "HOLY SHYT Did it just read my mind?"

A bit exaggerated, but the truth..

... 2002 LS: "DOWN SHIFT! RAISE RPMS! BAM! HERE'S YOUR POWER" ...

can you read live data? if so, check your pedal sensors on the 05 and post what you come up with. i havent cared enough to read any more about it, but awhile back i read that if one of the pedal sensors goes bad, or gets too far out of spec, the pcm will ignore it and use the other two sensors to triangulate the position of the third sensor via a series of calculations. i dont believe it will throw a code until 2 sensors go crazy. i would imagine the calculation slows down throttle response, but like i said i havent cared to really dig into how it works exactly.

i know i have one sensor that reads a bit more depressed @idle than the other two sensors
