Just wondering what the most practical way to do this is. I wanna put new high-flow cats on the car to go with a new exhaust setup. One cat looks easy enough to cut off. The other is welded to an exhaust manifold and looks like it would be a real PITA to cut off because the connection is up high where there wouldn't be much room for a saw/grinder etc. I suppose I could try to hollow it out, but I don't want to do that for various reasons(potential flow issues/Looks ugly/hazardous dust)

I've actually looked through that thread briefly. It seems that he wants to actually replace the manifold to get the cat off and what I'm wondering is if it's possible to get the cat off while leaving the manifold on the car. Needing to actually drop the K-member and remove the manifold= In that case I'd feel like just getting some kooks headers while I'm at it:shifty:

Either drop the subframe, or have fun with your sawsall
