beltminder feature AKA annoying bull

look in the owners manual in your glove box. YOu have to have the parking brake on, turn key to run, not start until the seat belt light goes off and then buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt like 10 times within 30 seconds then when the seatbelt light flashe buckle and unbuckle one more time. Its a pain and will probably take a few times to get it right. YOu can also disable the passanger one the same way.

You weren't lyin! That's a frikkin PITA.

04 manual says unbuckle 3 times then headlights off then on then 3 more buckle unbuckles then wait and unbuckle again?????????????????WTF it doesnt work.. who is responsible for this??? why not just a option through the setup menu??? i cant get it to work.. and why the difference between the 03 and 04 models ..there is a different procedure for every year

ok got it disabled. i have a 2004 LSE and the 2003, not 2004 deactivation sequence worked. Why i ask ..........Why

If anyone has this problem, Me , myself have solved it for you. Enjoy my labor and bow before me like im a god because i actually invented 8 new curse words which im workin with websters to define as we speak. Death to the inventor of beltminder AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. SORRY LOL I HAD TO VENT

no do u wear yours??? i just hate that i paid so much for my car and couldnt even decide for myself to wear seatbelt or not. Actually u can disable by clicking your belt in and out for that drive cycle but ive almost ditched it twice trying that so now you can understand my relief

I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt.

I don't have a beltminder beep in my car. But my sister was involved ina bad car accident a few years ago, and one of her friends died in it. That's all the reminder I need to buckle up. I care too much about my son to leave him without a father for something as trivial as putting on my seat belt.

I actually feel more comfortable wearing a seatbelt. I don't like sliding around in the seat. Besides, its the LS's way of giving you a hug. Enjoy it.

if you choose to not wear your seat belt that is your own decision that you (or your family) may have to deal with, but in my opinion this car goes way too d@mn fast to not wear a seatbelt!

I support the right for dumbasses to make decisions that lead to their death. (by the way, I am one of those dumbasses) Just get good insurance so I don't have to support your family for you.

thanks rain lol. actually there are some deaths actually caused by seatbelts..
