What do y'all's think?

Yeah please tell whatd you do to them? One of mine has some swirles in the trim from an uncontrolled buffer. I'm not quite sure what the trim is made of but I didn't think they could be polished?

I believe the trim is made of steel, it magnetic " pot metal is not " it could also be stainless steel.
This is how it's done boy's...

I see, ill have to practice on some spare trim I have, that's just rubbing compound right?

Looks very nice
Did this a few year ago guess I need to do it again now.
But this time will not be by hand.

I buffed the entire clear coat on my car. I started with 3M Trizact discs using an electric drill and the 3M headlight kit holder, then used 3M rubbing compound with a waffle pad, then Meguiars polish with a different waffle pad, then Mequiars wax by hand. It came out very nice except for one very small spot that sticks out like crazy to me (but no one else). I got too aggressive on a small scratch and went through the clear coat. I did most of the chrome too using just the polish.

Oh sapp, trying to one up me huh? looks good. Now just use those skills to polish your intake manifold, fuel lines, fuel press reg, crossover tube, alt, hose clamps, w/p pulliey and wiper arms. oh, don't forget the cam covers and all the mounting bolts.

Hose clamps?? Really? Wouldn't it be more time efficient to just buy a new $1 clamp.

All the other stuff you listed I opted to color coat.. except my fuel rails because I'll be tossing in some billet rails eventually

And no, not trying to one-up ya, just sharing a different stroke.
The wheels and blocks I get at Harbor Freight (all in 1 kit) comes with 2 small polishing wheels and 2 blocks of polish, 1 block is red for polishing gold and silver, the other is white for steel, brass, copper.

I scuffed mine with 180 grit to show how well it works. If you've got an air compressor and an angle grinder, makes the job so much easier
