When I start to turn the ignition I get 1 beep and then 1 more a second later when the car is fully started, and the oil light flashes with both beeps.
Anyone ever have this happen to them or know what would cause this?

maybe its saying its time to get your oil changed? or if you recently did mayeb you need to reset your oil life on the status screen. just a couple of guesses.

Is the oil light illuminated or does the message center tell you to change the oil? If it's the light I would say your oil is low.

i had just recently gotten an oil change and i always reset the switch.. ill check the oil level tomorrow... thats a good guess as to why the light comes on..thx

I would check the level before driving. If you had the oil changed at one of those quickie places you could be very low. The light usually comes on at ~a quart low.

It could also be sensing low pressure as it starts. Make sure you have an oil filter outfitted with a proper check valve inside so the oil doesn't drain back to the pan between operating cycles. I stick with Motorcraft filters.

I don't see anything in the factory service manual about this. The LS does not have a low oil level sensor, so it's not that. As for oil pressure, it only has a switch that indicates if there is or isn't pressure, so it's not that either.

Turn the key on (don't start it) for a few seconds. Does the low oil pressure light come on and stay on? If not, it may be a warning that the oil pressure switch is not working.
