I'm new here, first time posting, but been looking around for a while unregistered. I've been looking for a black on black 02 LS v8 but specifically has to have chrome on the bumpers. Now I have found a few v6's with the chrome on the bumper, but to me, it looks differant from a v8... unless I'm mistaken; the front end of the v8 looks alot more fierce so to speak. Are the demensions of the LS v8 and v6 the same or is one a tad bigger then the other? I have found a few v8 but they don't have the chrome on the bumper. Question, where can I buy just the chrome part to put on or even the whole bumper assembly itself? Or cant I? I live in Canada btw if that makes any differance.

first off they are the exact same size , the only difference is the motor. some of the earily V8's had a section of the grill that poped out for a tow hook but thats all, there is a LSE model that has a different bumper and side skirts, but none came with the chrome trim

most V6's come with the luxury package, chrome trim on the bumpers and a wood shift know and wood on the steering wheel.

most V8's come with the sport package, painted trim on the bumpers, a leather shift knob, a solid leather steering wheel and a SST shifter.

there are a few V8's out there with the ultimate package (luxury apperance with big motor) but depending on your area they might be very hard to find, when i bopught my first LS i looked for a V8 with the wood and chrome for about 9 months before i gave up and bought a V6 (i never stopped kicking myself in the a$$ for that)

as an owner of both generation LS's i would highly recomend looking for an 03 or newer as there where a bunch of little inconviences that bothered me all the time, almost all of them where fixed with the updated model (auto down AND up power windows, a much bigger center console, better cup holders, heated AND cooled seats, more power ports), not to mention the 03's have more power, and an extended factory warranty on one of the biggest and most common problems (coil failure) with the car.
just my 2cents

Buy a silver one without chrome bumpers and we can trade bumpers.
