...since I posted. Lots of changes, I no longer live in hawaii, I now reside in the D.C. area. I got rid of my Mark, it was about done. I now have a 07 Mustang GT (it's soooo pretty). Anyway, I was wondering if putting in UD pulleys and K&N kit would void my warranty?

Good to be back

The general consensus I've gotten from another site and some of my teachers (who are Ford techs) is that a performance part will void your warranty if something happens to your car and they can prove that the part you put on it caused a failure. Check out the Magnusson/Moss act.

so,if you need to have warranty work done, remove aftermarket parts before going to dealer....

Hey Marine, Welcome back! The answer is yes adding underdrive pulleys and and cold air intakes may avoid your warranty. Keep in mind that it will vary depending on the Ford dealership you go to. Down here, a co-worker did some upgrades to his 06 Stang, then he started getting a check engine light for something I don't know what. He took it to the local Ford Dealership, and the tech told him that they couldn't do anything because of all of the upgrades he had done. Now, I recently watched an episode of Horsepower TV and they had a 06 Mustang, and they did a bunch of Roush upgrades. Roush will not void your warranty.

Welcome back... Nice choice in cars... I'd love a new Mustang... I just like the fact that I can drive a Mark VIII and not have car payments...

The occasional repair is still cheaper than car payments.

ALso remember the new 3-valve motors are very touchy when it comes to intake parts of any sort. If you do something like the intake you might also want to get it tuned as well. Pullies...do you really think 2-3 hp that you gain will be worth it?

I would look at an exhaust and a tune...I doubt that would do anything to void the warranty.
