hey thanks you guys i had posted a thread stating my car wouldnt start. well i came home and it wasnt starting i fully charged the batteries. and the car started, then i checked the batteries it was giving me 12.5 on volt meter not running then i started it and it was giving me 14.0 steady it wasnt dropping nor going any higher, i never seen this. i had turned on my a/c and it stayed at 14.0. but when i turned up my 3000 watt system and had it hitting hard it droped down to 12.6 volts could it still be something wrong like the alternator not giving it enough charge or something still wrong with the batteries not holding a charge?

You found your problem when you turned on your sound system. The alternator produces enough electricity for the car's stock systems, but your 3kW sound system is just asking too much of it--with your sound system going, the alternator can't produce enough electricity to meet the demand of the factory electric/electronic systems and your sound system and adequately charge the battery. The 1st Gen LS has a hydraulic cooling fan because its electrical system was too close to the output capacity of its alternator to risk using an electric cooling fan, so adding your thumping sound system is pushing it well beyond its capabilities.
Take a look around here to see what people have done to offset the draw of a large sound system, and you should find the solution to your problem. A higher-capacity alternator is probably your first step.
