I am trying to order a new dry cell battery but they are wanting the battery size. At work right now does anyone know the actual dimensions of the battery or even the BCI size. I couldn't find anything about the factory BCI size of battery.. Any help appreciated guys.. thanks

Don't know for sure. But when I was at the dealer for some warranty work, I asked about battery replacements and he said it is a battery specific to our cars.

Also there was a thread on this web page about a month or two back. It sounds like the battery has special venting and that the vent system is a sealed one, makes sense, don't want to vent hydrogen into the trunk or cause corrosion of the trunk. The thread said that the vent system is typically corroded by the time you replace the battery so you have to replace the vent system also.

The cost of the special battery is somewhere around $100 and the vent system was something like $200. Another argument to convince me to stop buying cars with "special" features.

Good Luck, and let us know if you find better alternatives.

Ya i found the same exact thing out about the car when i went to get another battery, no body had what it called for. But i talked to some guys out of california called odyssey batteries saying venting is not necessary for these batteries unless i am using a higher then 15 volt charging system. I will post a link up for these guys. Let me know what ya guys think. I have also used batteried in my other car for stereo stuff before and have yet to notice any affects.. i said yet... lol.. But check em out and i have called them and seem pretty helpful when i told them of the situation with these cars.
Hey wasn't sure but he thought the pc1700 would fit here but i didn't know the size of our stock battery..
