Has anyone installed on yet?

I was thinking about doing it when I do the Avic F90BT but wanted to know how hard it is and what is all needed, and where to install

thanks

My dad got one of those wireless back up cameras from sam's for my mom's suv. It was pretty easy to install. I tried installing a video interface for my stock nav and it alsi has an inout for a back up camera. All I had to do to get the video to work was push a button on the control to switch the nav to a video screen but smart me, i wasn't poitning it at the receiver so i thought i didn't install it right. Took it to a shop and they did who know what to the back up camera cable. Moded it a lot.Something about the ls having oppsite something or another ans they had to build a relay or something to be abkle to use it. I dont know. But i dont think the set your going for will be that hard. It was prob just the device I used. Seems easy, try it.....Oh and if you do get the camera, post how good it works. I havent bought one yet. It is set up and all, just need the camera itself.

still trying to figure out where to put it but I am definetly hoping to do this all at once

I remember someone replaced the trunk key lock with the camera, not so sure that is a good thing.

i would not reccomend taking the key hole out of the trunk since the battery is back there and a dead battery would keep you from easily getting back there to jump the car

i have one that bolts up to the license plate, there is a video and a power wire that need to be ran up to the AVIC, i grounded it back in the trunk and ran the power wire up to the ACC wire (red) for the AVIC so that i could turn on the camera at any time, i also grabbed the reverse wire (negitive trigger) for the AVIC from the back up lights in the plate surround while i had it out for the camera and ran it up to the front, and it automaticly turns on any time the car is in reverse

+1 on license plate area mounting. I suppose you could drill a hole opposite of the keyhole, so they match. But I don't like that idea.

I want my car to look factory, so drilling hole and keyhole seem like bad ideas

will have to keep looking at it

thanks for all input
