Well in a thread on emblems member Babbster stated that he had a extra one over top of one that was actually on his car and he would give it away.

Well I dove in it for sh*ts and giggles cause I wanted to get another set for a project. I wanted to see how a different color combo would look.

This emblem is freaking weird! Its exactly like the stock emblem but its not hard plastic, its kind of like a thick vinyl rubber and I have some LSK emblems so I know its not one of those.


Now this is opening my mind a bit here. Could there be some other Lincoln with the same emblems as the LS?

Or,... could this just be a spoof and actually just a more rare different type of stock LS emblem?

Its black with gold star but it is not a DIY paint job. It looks as if it is 100% official stock from something.

Oh come on! Its a emblem!:p

Let me see what I could do but its not going to do any justice,... unless I bend it in one of the pics. Other wise its gunna just look like a stock emblem.
 
Really? I thought no others would fit?

This is the exact size. It appears to made made out of the same material as the eyebrow's.
 
yea that thing is different, it is almost like the dealer had/has access to different emblems and added that to match the wheels emblem and trunk lettering
 
Or someone just had one made at a vinyl shop. I know a guy that can produce these things really cheap, with high quality. It didn't necessarily come directly from Ford.

I would not say that isnt possible but I somehow doubt it so far.

Also to say that it did not come from Ford is a bit to much. It may have or may not have,... but not,.. it didnt:) .

Hyelife, I bet it was from that SS LS:shifty: !

I never saw the Z28 LS,.. where was I when you guys made fun of that:mad:?
 
Our mighty search engine has failed me. I typed in IROC-Z LS and I found nothing.


Well I found this thread here of course....
 
If it's like 3d rubber vinyl it's something easy to make as was said up a few posts. A decent quality piece of art sent to the supplier of your choice and in a day or two you can have a new emblem to your specs.
 
Oh I'm sure they could, wish I knew one to tell you the truth but how ever there is just something about this one.

Even on the back it has that protective coating on it just like the stock emblems do. I am assuming its to protect the paint from scratching to the other side.

If this was from a custom type of vinyl project I wish I could find out more. There is just something about it though. Hopefully by tomorrow you will see. I have to go out and get a one time use digital cam tonight anyway since its our sons birthday so hopefully I can get the pics on disc. My camera was dropped in sand on vacation:mad:


When I post the pic I'll do a side by side of the LSK ones I have.

Babbster can verify if needed. Don't worry theres no BS.

2001 ls8 premium. i have the same emblems but w a silver star. feels kinda like a few year old gummy bear dont it?
 
Just go to a dealership at dusk and floss one off....there is your new emblem. :)

It is kind of weird, and the black is not just black vinyl its clear vinyl painted black.

Have you removed yours?

Just go to a dealership at dusk and floss one off....there is your new emblem.

I sometimes feel like doing just that but I remember how pissed I was when I came out from Chucke Cheese and found mine missing!

Maybe you'll get lucky and end up stealing the one that was yours originally.
 
I doubt it,... some punks probably wearing it around his neck on a chain like its old scholl or something dumb.

Or I just had karma kick my ass for all the stupid pointless things I have done when I was young and he ended up just dropping it in a drain.
