I just recently replaced all the cooling components on my 2001 Lincoln LS V8 with many scrapes and much cursing. The original auxilliary coolant pump
( XW4H-18D473-BA was not working. I took the coolant pump apart and found that the motor brushes were worn.
If anyone is interested in this pump, make me an offer and I will replace the motor brushes and make the pump operational again. The motor commutator is smooth with no grooves.
If I would have known this earlier, I could've have saved myself $150, which is the cost of a new pump.
