Wish I could help man, maybe you should google or yellow page, sure something will turn up.

I got 12 techs in my city alone. sadly enough a bunch of them jacked up their prices cause of the economy, the place I put in my Eibach suspension was gonna charge me 6500 just for getting rims..REDICULOUS. make sure to get quotes to find a price that fits your budget. Luckily I found the rims I wanted for 749 a piece vs that 6500 for all four from my dealer.

Pete, your Avatar happy huh? sry OP, can't help you with your problem. just drive around and you'll find some. i've seen a lot down Baseline in Phoenix if that helps at all

What seems to be the prob with the car?? maybe my dealer could help at a reasonable price. Plus you would get a parts discount if it went through me!!

Awsome!!

Ok so I get into my 2000 LS V8 and start the engin " thats when I noticed things just wern't right".

when I started it up the temp gauge was reading COLD, and it was ideling at1500 rpm then after about 45 seconds it drops down to 1000 rpm.

when I begin to drive it feels as if the gas pedal is less responsive, and about 1/4mile into the drive the engin temp gauge slowly but steadly rises up to the top reading HOT, fallowed by a reduced power warning on the message center.

so I pull over and pop the hood, and notice a thin white smoke comming from the back of the engin..... I get the car home and check the coolant level and it read LOW, so I put some water in it to bring it back up.

I also checked the Fan coolant and it was low aswell. " what fluid do I replace that with??"

the next day I try to drive it again and the same problem happens and I notice that my heater doesnt work, it just blows cold air on me.

please help me out, I love my LS

you might have stuck thermostat if you are over-heating. the fan doesn't use coolant. you use the same thing that is in your power-steering reservoir which is mercon V i believe. i'm not sure if your heater not working is related to anything else, it might just be that you need a re-charge or something, i don't know

i changed the thermostat and changed ALL the fluids but still the same thing... could it be a water pump???

Ill check with the service dept tomorrow for a quote on a diag and let you know

Hi Leather

Sounds like a leakage in the cooling system. Our service dept will charge 1/2 to 1hr the most for a system pressure check, hoping to find the leak. ($50.00 to $90.00) If you want call me and Ill get the appt set up for you.

it was the coolant bottle by the firewall... it had a crack in the bottom and the hose was not in good shape.
i got bold and went on a hunch cuz i found a drip and a puddle.
