AOD convertor

i found a good deal in town on a high stall convertor for a AOD. i think they are the same, but i just want to be sure before i buy it. so can i use it?

No it's not the same. The AOD had a two peice input shaft for a mechanical lockup of the TC. The 4R70 is one piece input shaft. The converters are not compatible.

thanks. did some searching around on TCCOA too, looks like a AOD-E "should" work, but no-go on the regular AOD.
