I have a stock Alpine stereo LSE and I am getting a really bad buzzing from the rear speaker deck. I thought my speakers were blown, but it is actually the deck that is buzzing, I don't even have the bass all the way up either. Will sound deadener fix this? Anyone experience this? Please someone who has used or installed Fatmat (or other brand) let me know what differences were really made. I am considering doing all four of my doors to eliminate little ticks and rattles here and there as well. Before I spend the money I just wanted to know from real people.

i have used fatmat and dynamat (the fatmat is in my LS). your problem seems to be something different entirely tho. i've never had this problem because i've replaced everything audio in my car. there have been some threads on this not too long ago either. you might want to search a couple of days back and i think there was a member who had the same problem, i believe it's common. he bought a deck off ebay i believe. and dynamat vs fatmat i'd have to say fatmat, just because the dynamat is thinner, but to be fair i haven't tried the dynamat extreme. fatmat is a little more messy tho. it's easier to apply because it's so sticky. i've done my whole car except the roof. all the doors and whole trunk. good luck

Thanks for the reply! Did you notice a difference in ticks and rattles? Is it worth the money and time in your opinion?

for me it was definately. alot of the rattling goes away from the outside especially. and what it does it creates better acoustics inside of the car. the only thing it does do that most people don't like is that it makes it less loud on the outside, but then it is more loud inside. i love it and it just takes a lot of time to do the whole car but most people just do the trunk. it is quite expensive, i got mine off ebay. hope this helps.
