Anyone near lehigh valley pa want to or know anyone to install trac lok and gears?

ive got install quotes from 400 - to 475 at shops, im assuming that includes the rebuild kit. i got a guy wholl do it for 300-350 labor ( not including the rebuild kit) ive read on here through search and in mustang magazines that the labor for gears and trac lok installl labor should be like 200 -250. I'm located 45 minutes north east from philly and about an hour west of new york city.

WANT to install gears and trac-loc... funny. I don't know anyone that enjoys setting up a rearend.

Honestly, you'd be better off to have it done by the pros. That way you've got someone to go back on if they set up the lash wrong or something of the sorts. That's one of the two things I don't do... Rear ends and tranny rebuilds

my question is the price, i read 200-250 no more. can anyone who has installed 4.10 and trac-lok tell me where they got theres installed and how much, preferably in my neck of the woods

My E-150 went from 3.55 to 4.10 cost was $350 at a Pro shop. Never changed the Stang or the Mark. I agree 100% with NATRW21 rears and trans I shop out to the pros.

abe there used to be a ford performance shop off of macarthur road in the back of the strip mall between best buy and where the old SILO electronics store was,(its a bookstore or something now)it was on the same side as Best buy, dont know if its still there i havent lived in lehigh val for 10 years now.

it was called D&D motorsports or something similar to that.could not find it online

A good friend of mine just had gears/trac lok installed earlier this week. $300 in labor at the friends rate. Expect to pay $300-400.

There was a guy out here that did my friends stang for like 250. But I am not sure if he still does that these days he is pretty busy with building his dragcars.

Go under contact at the right and give em a call and ask, it can't hurt. He knows his :q:q:q:q and is a great guy to boot... He might not do that stuff anymore though.

this sounds real promising... ive had these gears and trak lok sitting here for a while now, real excited to put them in.

Abe, call McNews in the Harrisburg area. They are a really good Mustang and Ford shop. I know that it is a little ways to go, but they do excellent work and have some killer Mustangs running around this area. If you get it done for less than $400.00 in this area, you are lucky. IRS is not quite as easy as solid rear, but it is not that difficult. I don't have a garage, or I would offer to help. I used to do tractor trailer rears, and cars are a piece of cake. But I am even letting someone else do my 456 and True Trac install on my Ram. Too much hassle to do in the driveway.

i read on here, and in most mustang magazine websites the job should cost between 200 - 250, for labor. anything else would be uncivilized :D
