I know its not in the right section, but I figured the most people would see it hear.
My girlfriend has a 99 monte carlo ls, with the passkeyII system. She said it was giving her a few problems starting over the last few weeks, and it just locked her out yesterday. After charging the battery, it made a few clicks under the hood, but no cranking or anything.
AAA guy jumped the starter by arcing the battery/starter lead and we drove home fine. I replaced the starter, doesnt fix the problem. I had another key made earlier in the day too, didn't help.
Radio works, everything works, the "security" light stays on blinking during driving, and while in accessories. I can jump the new starter for her, and it runs fine, light stays on though.
I've read about the 2 sensors that read the resistor in the key going bad, anyone have any experience or insight as to what to tackle next?
Sorry for the extended post.
